| So I posted about a week ago about a lack of boost and a boost gauge that wasn't moving from zero no matter if the car was at idle or under load. I was able to fix the problem so thought I would share. Thankfully, it was a simple fix and not an $$$ turbo replacement. In examining the engine bay area I discovered the passenger side boost hose had it's hose clamp fail and the hose was disconnected from the nipple under the intake piping. This wasn't able to be seen until I had removed the throttle body intake hose. The disconnected hose was the cause of the lack of boost. Once this was reconnected full boost again. The gauge issue was a separate issue, and it was caused because the boost sensor hose was still in the stock location hooked into the vacuum tree off of the AIV solenoid. I deleted the AIV piping long ago but had left the solenoid in place, capping where I needed to and everything had worked fine. However when I recently deleted my EGR, I should have removed it from the vacuum tree off the AIV solenoid and hooked the boost sensor hose directly on to the balance tube at the rear nipple. Once I did that the gauge works properly.
